Srushti deshmukh who is in her third year in engineering is already beginning preparation for UPSC. In her final year of engineering, Deshmukh questioned if she would be interested in working in engineering. Eventually, she realised that civil services was her passion and decided to pursue this field. Her parents encouraged her to be civil servants and seek a job in the public service. Her focus was on becoming an IAS officer. In order to be a candidate for UPSC, you have to be more diligent. She would prepare for UPSC topics while studying her engineering. Every day, she set aside the time to study for exams. Within a little over a month and half, she prepared for her engineering test and completely avoided all social media. She believes that focus and concentration are essential to pass the test to become a government official. She aimed to pass this exam in the first try and has put in lots of hard work. Daily, she would read the newspaper to keep abreast on the current news. Rajya Sabha TV, online studies and resources were of great assistance to her.
