Anna Silk

Anna Silk, born January 31st 1974 in Fredericton Brunswick Canada, is an actor most well-known for her role as Bo on the Showcase series Lost Girl. Silk is born in Fredericton New Brunswick Canada. Ilkay is the producer and director of drama at St. Thomas University, is Silk's mother. Her father, Peter is an academic. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Anna's early memories include going to rehearsals for plays and watching her mom perform. Silk was featured in a variety of commercials as a young child. She graduated with a Bachelor's in Arts in 1997 from St. Thomas University in 1997. Theatre St. Thomas was involved in at least two early theater productions including Seven Menus (1997) and The Kitchen (1999). Silk relocated to Toronto and moved to Los Angeles in the decade that followed 1999. She met her new spouse, Seth Cooperman, at an acting training in Los Angeles in 2007. The couple got married in December of 2009 after a civil wedding ceremony. In Fredericton on the 10th of April in the couple renewed their vows following her decision to convert to Judaism. Silk had the son named Samuel Jerome Cooperman in May 2013. Levi Aaron, her second son was born on 13 May 2016. Silk's TV work has included her part in Being Erica as Cassidy Holland in which she was awarded a Gemini Awards nod in 2009. In 2009 she was cast as the main character Bo Dennis in Lost Girl. Silk was expecting while shooting the final season of the third series. The actress announced her pregnancy to fans during the Showcase Season Three pre-show special on 6 January 2013. Silk announced on Twitter on the 20th of June, 2013 that production had begun on Season 4. The 4th of June, 2013 Showcase and Prodigy Pictures confirmed the beginning of production for Season 4, which will air in the fourth season. CNN Cable News Network named Bo, along with Lauren Zoie Palmer, as the couple with the same name in Lost Girl to be one of the top television Couples of All Time. E! Magazine declared them Top TV Couples in 2013 Entertainment Television. Because of Silk's popularity Silk has earned a significant online following on social media.
